About Dr Amarjeet Kadam
He passed MBBS in Dec 1998 from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum.
He completed M.S (Ophthalmology) from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College Manipal in Sept 2002.
He passed DNB (National Board of Examinations, New Delhi) in 2003 & was admitted as a Diplomate of the National Board.
He completed his fellowship in Vitreo-retinal surgery in April 2004 at Shri Ganapati Netralaya Jalna. During this period he performed & assisted all kinds of Vitreo-retinal surgery & also presented papers & poster at various conferences.
He was enrolled as Fellow International council of ophthalmology (FICO) (UK) in April 2004 after being successful in both parts of the examination.
He was enrolled as Fellow of Royal College of physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS) in Feb 2007.
He has presented various Papers, Posters & Surgical Videos at National and International level conferences. He has publications in peer reviewed journals also.
He was the winner of All Gujarat Ophthalmic quiz held in 2004 at Surat.
Presently, he is practicing as and Phaco & Vitreo- Retinal Surgeon since May 2004 at Vadodara.
He specializes in all kinds of Vitreo-retinal surgeries & is one of the few surgeons performing sutureless small gauge retinal surgeries in India.
He has been invited as faculty for various National & International ophthalmic conferences.
He has been invited as a faculty at various National & International conferences. He has published articles in peer reviewed journals.
He is a privileged member of various ophthalmic societies (All India ophthalmological society, Gujarat ophthalmic society, Baroda ophthalmic society, Uveitis society of India and Vitreo-Retinal Society of India). He has been the Vice President of Gujarat Ophthamological society 2011-2012. He is actively involved in the activities of Baroda Ophthalmic society and held the post of joint secretary in 2007-2008. He was the key member in handling the affairs of Gujarat Ophthalmic conference held at Vadodara in 2008 which was adjudged the largest GOS conference with record attendance of >800 delegates
He is actively involved in social service and has performed >100 camps for treating Cataract & Vitreo-retinal diseases for patients in rural areas under project called “Drishti” which provides specialized eye care to the underprivileged. His initiative has had the support of “Pratham Foundation Charitable trust”. He has conducted Eye camps and free eye surgeries for esteemed organizations like Lions club of Kingsbury London, RR Kabel & many other corporates.
He was the Chairman (2011-12) of the Vadodara Vibrant Round Table 210 which is a global social service organization. He has been an integral part of this organization & has been involved in various fund raising & social service activities. He has been the mentor of a musical fund raising event of round table Titled “Eye Tunes” & has also conducted a mega “Blind Man Car rally” in 2013 at Vadodara. He has also been instrumental in building schools for the underprivileged on behalf of Round table India.
He has future plans to provide his services to people all over the world. He has special interest in academics and plans to develop and introduce new concepts in surgery.
